Simon GERARD is a Counsel in the « Non-profit organizations – Social and solidarity-based entrepreneurship » department.
Simon has developed expertise in working with social economy organizations, and is mainly involved in the following areas :
- tax advice for associations, foundations and endowment funds,
- legal and regulatory monitoring of not-for-profit organizations,
- reorganization of activities and assets (contributions/mergers of not-for-profit organizations, management of profit-making activities, property management, etc.),
- structuration de projets philanthropiques (mécénat d’entreprises et de particuliers).
A significant portion of his practice is also dedicated to assisting donors—both individuals and businesses (SMEs, mid-sized companies, and publicly traded companies)—in defining and implementing their philanthropic strategies.
He joins DELSOL Avocats in 2019.
He has gained experience with business law firms and with an avocat aux Conseils. He was a lecturer at the University of LYON III for students of the Master 2 “Management and strategic steering of the performance of health, social and medico-social organizations”.
Simon holds a Master II in Criminal Practice (University of Montpellier) and completed an LLM in International Commercial Law (University of Nottingham).
